ASSERTIVITY: IS THAT THE QUESTION?

As the course began, we all thought we'd met our maker
No need to worry as it was just another icebreaker
Finding out about your neighbour, a person you've never met
Can be quite daunting but on this occasion, nothing to regret
Then there's communication, what will be the chosen route?
Telephone, email or letter, use whatever you think will suit
But what about all those barriers? The ones we don't deserve
Guess we, like others, will give them a definite swerve
What follows now is to be proud and simply just glisten
We have all developed the skills to sit and really listen
Now let us look at conflict and look at it fully
Making sure we all agree, zero tolerance for the bully
So let's make some real progress to avoid any desertion
It's now time to be confident with some realistic assertion
All the tools at our disposal, we can handle any single project
Presenting an impressive plan that no-one will want to object
The days we have spent here at the Burton Manor college
We all leave thanks to Claire, full of new found knowledge
