Our first Annual General Meeting was held on the 10th July 2007 at Winnington Park Recreation Club. The event went well and we were very encouraged that over 35 members attended. The level of participation was very high, a factor which is always very valuable to the cause of Cheshire Community Voice.
We were delighted that Professor Pauline Ong, the Chair of Central & Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust, agreed to be our speaker for the meeting. Pauline gave a speech that highlighted the importance of public participation in the commissioning of our local health and social care services.
A presentation of the accounts was made by our Treasurer, Brian Garbett and it was unanimously agreed that the current accountant, Kenwright & Co, continue their valuable work with Cheshire Community Voice. Our Chief Executive, Hilda Yarker presented the annual report and made reference to how CCV came about and its future role in the community.
